The Opportunity

Benetas Kangaroo Flat is positioned on over a hectare of beautifully maintained rose gardens and courtyards, providing residents with genuine, quality care within a tranquil and calm living environment and home to 50 residents. It is a warm and welcoming aged care facility where our Nurses deliver specialised, high quality nursing care to older Victorians in our residential homes and in client homes in our local communities. 

The After-Hours Manager (AHM) is responsible for the effective management and oversight of the local service after hours in the absence of the Residential Services Manager. The AHM utilises highly developed clinical and people management skills and experience to support local care teams to provide excellent quality person centred care and services to residents and their families.

This is a permanent part-time position

What You Will Do

Provide high quality resident care by administering medications, and monitoring vital signsObserves, documents and reports changes in resident wellbeing and care environmentDemonstrate the application of excellent clinical skills in areas such as tissue viability, continence management, dementia/behaviour management, infection control, amongst othersWork under the guidance of registered nurses and after-hours managers to ensure the wellbeing of residents within the Residential Aged Care Home.Spend time with the residents to connect, share stories and show empathy

About You

Completed Bachelor of Nursing and/or current Registration with AHPRA as Division 1 (required)Current NDIS clearance (required) Senior Registered Nurse and Experience in Community Care, Home Care or Residential (highly desired)Current Flu immunisation up to date (highly desired)Ability to collaborate and work in a team and under guidance of Registered Nurse
