About the opportunity

This position is a continuing appointment to contribute to enhancing the College and University experience for ANU College of Systems and Society (CSS) students, focusing on the support and coordination of internships, work experience, Industry projects and industry engagements to prepare students to be effective professionals in their chosen discipline. The position is responsible for raising the awareness of CSS students about internship/ placement opportunities, career development information and events and workshops for supporting the implementation of a multifaceted employability program of activities for CSS students.

Position overview

The Senior Student Employability Officer works closely with the other members of the Student Services, Student Employability team, liaising with and providing high quality advice and service to a wide variety of staff, students and stakeholders. The Senior Student Employability Officer works collaboratively with the other teams within the College, the broader ANU and with industry stakeholders to support CSS Work Integrated learning (WIL) courses and other student employability initiatives. The context of the role is to provide high quality service and advice to stakeholders in the College community and its stakeholders.

  • The Senior Student Employability Officer contributes to enhancing the College and University experience for CSS students, focusing on the support and coordination of internships, work experience, TechLauncher/ Capstones and industry engagements to prepare students to be effective professionals in their chosen discipline.
  • The position is responsible for raising the awareness of CSS students about internship/ placement opportunities, career development information and events and for supporting the implementation of a multifaceted student employability program of activities.
