The Fur Dental offers non-anethesia/ non-sedation teeth cleaning for dogs & cats. The Fur Dental is a new service which operates in The Fur Salon Australia's premium grooming salon offering a human hair salon-style experience for people and their beloved pets with 3 sites in Mosman, Balgowlah and Queens Park; in addition to providing services in grooming salons throughout Sydney.

Your role will be to remove plaque and tartar from pet's teeth with a scaler, polish, rinse and finish with an laser light. Dogs will be laid on their back and swaddled in a towel for the procedure.

In addition, you will assist in home health services for pet owners such as administering medication (as directed by the vet); sitting and other care which enables our pets to live their best lives.

You will have:

  • Vet nursing qualification & drivers license
  • At least 2 years experience as a vet nurse providing assistance to vets with teeth scaling
  • Excellent dog & cat handling skills - able to handle a diverse range of dogs including various breeds, sizes and ages
  • Take pride in maintaining a high standard of personal and salon presentation
  • Computer proficient – use of word programs
  • Strong customer service and selling skills
  • Be resourceful and happy to work independently and travel to other salons
  • A willingness to learn
  • Excellent animal handling skills
