About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef to join our team at Wild Plum Kitchen on Tamborine Mountain. This is a full-time role where you will play a key part in creating exceptional dining experiences for our customers. As our Chef, you will be responsible for all aspects of food preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality, seasonal dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients
  • Overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision
  • Ensuring strict compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Collaborating with the management team to develop and refine the menu
  • Fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef
  • Proven track record of creating and executing innovative, flavourful menus
  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passion for using fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in culinary arts or hospitality
