Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to load data from multiple sources (RDBMS, files, APIs, SaaS platforms) into data warehouses or data marts.
• Translate business requirements into robust data transformations, data mappings, and workflow logic.
• Ensure data quality, implement validations, error handling, and data lineage documentation.
• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability; monitor batch and streaming jobs; troubleshoot failures.
• Collaborate with data architects, DBAs, and analysts to refine data models and fulfill reporting needs.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and version-controlled code (Git).
• Support deployment to test/production via CI/CD pipelines; assist with release management.
• Stay current with data governance, security, and privacy standards as applicable.

Criteria Selection

• Supplier key personnel should have experience with Microsoft Azure data products, including:
  
  a. Azure SQL
  
  b. Data Factory
  
  c. Data Lake
  
  d. Data Bricks
  
  e. Analysis Services
  
  f. Machine Learning
  
  g. Key Vault

h. Power BI

• Supplier key personnel should have experience scripting with SSIS and SQL.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience with T-SQL skills, including creating stored procedures, views, and indexes, as well as performance-tuning queries.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience analysing large volumes of data and establishing data flow models and mappings.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience in implementing database structures, data marts, data stores and data lakes.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience in ensuring that data quality and security standards are met.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience in performance tuning and modelling the data to produce resource-efficient and fast-running processes.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience in unit testing to ensure data quality achieving this primarily with automation.
• Supplier key personnel should have experience using Azure DevOps release pipelines.
