Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Service, Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) - base location Royal North Shore
What you'll be doing
The position holder will be responsible for the NSLHD's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consumer engagement processes with the aim of developing an effective co-design environment. In addition, this role will drive the development and delivery of multiple identified health projects across the district to enhance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health outcomes.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- This is an identified Aboriginal position. Applicants must be of Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander descent. Exemption is claimed under section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in health-related field and/or demonstrated work and/or lived experience.
- Demonstrated project management, research and/ or evaluation skills.
- Thorough understanding of, and demonstrated ability to apply, co-design principles in development and delivery of projects and programs, including demonstrated experience in community engagement and community development.
- Understanding of and ability to apply local and wider Aboriginal and Torres Strait cultural protocols in a health setting.
