Your Opportunity

In this diverse role your responsibilities will include de-stuffing and stuffing of shipping containers, the loading and unloading of trucks, safe handling of various types of freight operating in a customs and quarantine controlled environment.

As a Store persons / Terminal  Operator at Stevenson Logistics, your responsibilities include:

  • The safe loading and unloading of trucks and light vehicles
  • Restrain loads in accordance with the current guidelines
  • The operation of forklifts in a manner that is both safe and avoids damage to plant and freight
  • Demonstrating a high level of Safety and Process compliance
  • Accurate recording of cargo against manifests
  • Attention to detail and, maintaining complete and accurate documentation and records

About you

  • Previous experience loading ugly freight
  • Current forklift license operation of forklifts 2.5t – 16t with heavy commodity and sensitive cargo handling
  • Experience with 16tonne forklift operations is essential
  • Be comfortable working in both a team environment and be able to perform tasks alone and unsupervised
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of effective load restraint
  • Able to pass pre employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
  • Hold a current drivers license
