About the Role:

We are seeking a hardworking, energetic individual with demonstrated experience, of at least two years, in a similar role to fill the position of Truck Driver to join our warehouse team based in Laverton North.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role requires a reliable person who has the ability to drive one of the company's HC vehicles safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for delivering orders and ensuring customer satisfaction as well as undertaking the duties of storeperson.

The storeperson component of the role means working in our warehouse, picking customer's orders, unloading deliveries, whilst maintaining a safe and clean environment following correct safety procedures at all times.

To be successful in this role you will be required to:

  • Be available to work Monday to Friday – including early morning starts from 6am
  • Hold a current HR/HC Driving Licence
  • Have a Forklift Licence
  • Possess the ability to work autonomously and as part of team
  • Have a strong focus on customer service whilst understanding that as a driver you are the 'Public Face' of Total Steel Melbourne
  • Present excellent communication skills
  • Be hardworking, with a positive can-do attitude
  • Proficiently complete necessary paperwork

While not essential, it is advantageous to have:

  • A sound knowledge of steel products
  • Experience driving overhead crane gantry
