We're seeking a proactive Purchasing & Inventory Manager to join our business at Richlands, Queensland. In this role, you'll drive efficient procurement, materials planning, and inventory management—ensuring our operations run seamlessly and cost-effectively.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the purchasing and inventory function, negotiating supplier arrangements and securing optimal sourcing outcomes.
  • Oversee inventory planning, stock audits, and replenishment to support production and working capital targets.
  • Implement and manage MRP/ERP systems for accurate, visible, and compliant inventory control.
  • Drive cost optimisation initiatives across procurement and the supply chain, safeguarding quality and service standards.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and logistics to streamline purchasing, materials flow, and on-time delivery.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, nurturing growth, accountability, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Develop and deliver accurate supply chain and inventory reporting for senior management and process improvement.
What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 5 years' progressive experience in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven team leadership and people management experience.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commercial literacy, with advanced proficiency in supply chain systems, ERP, and analytics.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Track record of driving cost savings, continuous improvement, and process optimisation.
Nice to Have but Not Essential
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certification (CPSM, CPIM) or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Experience in building products manufacturing.
  • Advanced demand planning and inventory forecasting skills.
