Purchasing Officer

In this role you will work in a small team of Purchasing Officers in the efficient delivery of transactional purchasing activity for Health and Hospital Services.
What you'll do
- Undertake cost effective and innovative purchasing, inventory management, invoice verification and contract management support to clients.
- Assist with the housekeeping aspects of the role, such as Receipt and Invoice reconciliation and back-order reports are kept up to date and actioned.
- Regularly review procurement procedures for compliance with modern purchasing practices and instigate corrective action where necessary.
- Develop relationships with clients and supply coordinators to understand customers' needs, provide training and support.
- Liaise with and respond to complex customer /vendor and accounts payable inquiries and problem solve accordingly.
- Exercising the appropriate level of procurement delegations.
- Complete ad hoc tasks as requested by immediate line manager
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
- Well-developed understanding of the Procurement function and accountabilities within a complex organisation.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in S4Hana or similar operating system.
- High level of communication and negotiation skills.
- Capacity to contribute to a skilled and service-oriented Team environment.
