Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for developing local suppliers in Australia to support the company's long-term business goals. Manage and optimize the supplier portfolio to ensure diversity and competitiveness in the supply chain.

  2. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with key suppliers, including negotiating contracts and agreements. Monitor supplier performance to ensure that suppliers meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

  3. Conduct market trend analysis and identify potential new suppliers and partners. Evaluate and certify new suppliers to ensure they meet the company's quality standards and business needs.

  4. Manage costs and improve cost efficiency by negotiating better prices and terms. Continuously review and optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

  5. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop corresponding mitigation strategies. Monitor global supply chain events, such as political and economic changes, and their impact on suppliers and material supply.

  6. Manage supplier development projects to ensure timely, budgeted, and quality completion. Coordinate cross departmental teams, including procurement, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to ensure project success.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree or above in supply chain management, business management, engineering, or related fields.

  2. 5 years of experience in developing local suppliers in the Australian region. Experience in managing complex supply chains in multinational corporations or large organizations.

  3. Proficient in the best practices and tools of supply chain management, such as SAP and ERP systems. Familiar with supplier evaluation and certification processes, as well as quality management systems and standards.

  4. Strong communication skills, able to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Capable of working in cross-cultural environments and adapting to different work styles and communication styles. English can serve as a working language.

  5. Excellent negotiation skills, able to reach favorable terms in contract and agreement negotiations with suppliers.

  6. Able to analyze complex supply chain problems and develop effective solutions.

  7. Able to adapt to rapidly changing business environments and market demands.
