About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 1 Apprentice Electrician to join our team at Mackie & Co Electrical in Toowoomba, Queensland.

This full-time role offers the opportunity to embark on a rewarding career in the electrical industry, with hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist experienced electricians with the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in commercial, residential and rural locations
  • Gain practical experience in a variety of electrical tasks, including wiring, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment

What we're looking for

  • Genuine interest in the electrical industry and a willingness to learn
  • Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and alone
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Competent driver as you'll be driving larger vehicles

  • Hands-on training & support in completing your electrical apprenticeship
  • $50 a week Tool Allowance
  • $12.50 a week Laundry/clothing allowance
  • 7.30am - 3.30pm Mon - Thurs
  • 7.30am - 2.00pm Friday
  • Generally overtime from Monday - Thursday with a strong focus for Early finish Fridays
  • Work shirts provided
