About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Data Analyst to join our Information & Data team. In this role, you will play a key part in extracting actionable insights from rich complaint datasets within the energy and water sectors, ultimately contributing to fairer outcomes for consumers and communities.

You will collaborate with teams across the organisation to understand their data needs, help unlock the value of data, and support strategic and operational decision-making. This position also works closely with the Lead Data Analyst on data projects, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Define, document, and maintain key business datasets to enable timely, accurate insights.
  • Maintain backend cloud-based data infrastructure, including dataflows and pipelines.
  • Collaborate with technical business analyst and internal stakeholders to create and maintain reports and dashboards.
  • Support ad hoc data projects led by the Lead Data Analyst.
  • Ensure secure, automated data access for producing insightful, visually engaging reports.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of EWON's data analytics capabilities, governance frameworks, and data standards.
  • Deliver analytical reports and dashboards that support business operations, decision-making, and planning activities.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience working as a Data Analyst or in a similar role within Australia
  • Strong skills in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis using tools such as Power BI
  • Proficiency in analytical programming languages and tools such as DAX, T-SQL, and PySpark
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Microsoft Fabric)
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server / Azure SQL.
  • Knowledge of SSRS and RDL file maintenance.
