The role
Crown Sydney have a unique opportunity available to join the Surveillance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a key role in our business where you'll help to ensure the safety and welfare of our patrons, visitors and residents are always maintained. You'll be responsible for conducting appropriate surveillance activity with the highest level of integrity and compliance in line with all regulatory and internal procedures, as well as providing technical and electronic monitoring of the Crown Sydney property for surveillance and security operations.

Some of your responsibilities will involve:
- Maintaining security and surveillance monitoring and alarms for the resort remaining vigilant for safety, emergency security and integrity incidents or issues
- Supporting critical incident and emergency responses and assisting Security Operations teams with command, control, coordination and communication protocols
- Identifying and reporting key incidents, anomalies and key info relating to illegal or suspicious behaviour by patrons, visitors & staff
- Proactively identify, manage and escalate excluded persons or other persons of interest requiring action
- Conducting player and employee profiling
- Analysing, investigating and providing accurate advice on security and surveillance incidents
- Completing audits of gaming equipment and be able to detect manufacturing defects or items of equipment that have been tampered with
- Ensuring a high level of confidentiality safeguarding business, financial, staff and patron information
About you:
- Holder of a 1AE Security Licence or be willing to obtain one
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Surveillance role is beneficial (gaming/hospitality environment highly regarded)
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Excellent computer skills with ability to work across multiple systems and platforms
- Strong aptitude in casino maths or relevant qualifications highly desirable
- Exceptional probity and credit clearance and ability to obtain and maintain all relevant licenses
- Unrestricted Australian working rights
To be considered for this role, you must have 24/7 availability and be able to commit to a rotating roster that includes 12-hour shifts across days, overnights, weekends and public holidays. The rosters will be published in advance and will require you to work a mix of days, night and overnight shifts.
As part of the recruitment process, candidates selected to progress will need to complete relevant police and working rights checks and be able to obtain a Casino Special Employee License – Category B (paid for by Crown if successful).
