Your role, your impact

As a Peer Worker, you'll use your lived experience to:

  • Support and engage young people in building their capacity to be part of their community
  • Collaborate across teams including clinical, school services, and work/study programs
  • Co-facilitate group programs and contribute to the Youth Reference Group – 3D Youth
  • Build relationships with multicultural communities and amplify youth voices
  • Document client interactions accurately in Each's client management system
  • Engage in professional development including peer supervision and training

Who we're looking for

  • Lived experience of mental illness and recovery
  • Demonstrated experience working with young people
  • Ability to develop and facilitate group programs
  • Completion of, or commitment to complete, Intentional Peer Support Core Training
  • Current driver's license

What will make you stand out

  • Certificate IV in Mental Health, Peer Work or equivalent
  • Experience with group facilitation
  • Understanding of trauma-informed care, cultural diversity, and social justice
  • Experience in promoting the program/organisation at community events, forums, and meetings
