What will a day in this role look like:

AECOM's Resources & Industrial (R&I) Team is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer in Townsville to support major projects across our broader R&I teams and offices, including Brisbane, Mackay and Newcastle.   

Our team works across the broader mining sector including underground and open cut, minerals processing, smelting and mining support infrastructure plus general industrial facilities, refineries, sugar mills, ports, water and wastewater installations.

Your strong relationships with clients and your drive to support the continued growth of our team to deliver for our new and existing clients. You will be a hands-on leader, responsible for the team's resource allocation & performance in both winning and delivering small to medium sized projects across the North Queensland region.

What you will bring:

We are seeking a leader with an interest in succession and long-term growth in AECOM Townsville – an individual who is looking to develop their career within a global organisation while working on a diverse range of projects from a very successful regional office. 

• Knowledge of design, Australian Standards, ASME codes and API standards
• Ideally, 5 years + experience as a Civil Engineer within the Mining Industry, with demonstrated experience in the design and specification of structural engineering
• Extensive mining, heavy industry and industrial experience
• Excellent written and communication skills and stakeholder engagement capability.
• RPEQ accredited (or able to obtain).
