About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Associate Civil Engineer to join our team in Townsville, where you'll help deliver major transport infrastructure projects that make a real impact across Queensland. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with one of Australia's leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancies, right here in Townsville.

As a Senior Associate Civil Engineer, you'll take the lead on a range of significant road and highway infrastructure projects. You'll manage multidisciplinary teams, drive project delivery from concept to completion, and play a key role in expanding our local presence through business development and client engagement.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Leading and managing the design and delivery of road and highway projects across Queensland

  • Developing project teams and mentoring junior engineers

  • Building strong client relationships and securing repeat and new business

  • Contributing to strategic business development across the region

  • Managing projects exceeding $1 million in value, on time and to budget

  • Preparing and reviewing high-quality technical reports

About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in road and highway design, with strong QLD market knowledge

  • Proven experience in project management and delivery within a consultancy environment

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the broader business and marketing context

  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Willingness to travel as needed (domestic or international)
