A temporary full time position commencing 27 January 2026 until 26 January 2027.

The role of Middle Leader 2 exists to support the Principal in implementing the vision and mission of the school, to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students and assist the school leadership team in the conduct and organisation of the school.

The primary focus for a Leader of Diverse Learning is to create an authentically inclusive community by combining legal compliance with the foundational values of Catholic education. In doing so, the leader ensures that every student, recognised as an individual made in the image of God, is provided with learning opportunities that enhance their dignity and wellbeing, helping them to reach their full potential.

ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate you are an effective educator who:

  • Gives witness to the faith and contributes to the Catholic life and culture of the school community.
  • Builds a learning culture of shared responsibility for quality teaching and student learning growth, informed by data.
  • Has a commitment to academic excellence and a sound knowledge of contemporary approaches to pedagogy including the nature of assessment and differentiated learning
  • Builds capacity through their own professional development and supporting staff by providing access to professional learning opportunities, giving regular feedback, and managing performance
  • Leads change and improvement to enhance learning for all students.
  • Leads the implementation, monitoring and review of frameworks, policy, procedures and supporting documentation relevant to diverse learners.
  • Facilitates the processes required under the Disability Standards for Education (DSE) and the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD). This includes processes for identification, documentation, provision of adjustments, monitoring, moderation and collaborative planning.
  • Provides specialised knowledge and skills, consultation and collaborative support to colleagues in the area of differentiated support for individual students with diverse academic, social and emotional needs.
  • Leads the implementation of the CEDoW Case Collaboration procedure to enable collaborative practices at class, school and system level to support improved learning, behaviour and wellbeing outcomes for students.

DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Experience with the CSNSW Personalised Planning Tool to create, monitor, and maintain comprehensive, personalised student support plans.
  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and coordinating the case management of students with complex profile  to ensure holistic support and positive outcomes.
  • Facilitated inclusive enrolment and transition processes for students with diverse learning needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post graduate qualifications aligned to the area of diverse learning.
  • Level D Accreditation  in accordance with 'Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong' policy.
  • Level C Accreditation  in accordance with 'Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Wollongong' policy or a commitment to gain within the first contractual period.
  • NESA Accreditation at Proficient Teacher level or above.

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE

This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.
