The opportunity

Vacenti is seeking a Full time or Part time Enrolled Nurse to join the Clinical Team at Marebello at Victoria Point and Sorrento at Cleveland, QLD. Reporting to, and working closely with the Facility Manger, Clinical Manger and Care Coordinators, in this role you be responsible for providing evidence-based nursing care for residents in accordance with the care plan developed in collaboration with the resident, their family and the health care team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and oversee the care team (Nursing Assistants) to assist residents with activities of daily living.
  • Provide person centred clinical care to residents.
  • Promote a dignified and positive Lifestyle for residents.
  • Assist, communicate and escalate resident changes and /or issues to the RN/CC/CM as appropriate.
  • Ensures all information and data regarding residents is recorded.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents and their families.
  • Work as part of the resident's care team to ensure that high quality care is delivered safely and in line with policies and protocols.
  • Record information accurately
  • Demonstrate a willingness to participate in professional development to enhance personal and professional effectiveness.
  • Seek continuous improvement in work practices including demonstrated self-motivation and initiative.
  • Be accountable/responsible for decisions, actions, and work quality.
  • Always work in a safe manner and comply with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate dedication and commitment to fulfilling the position requirements.
  • Apply professional ethics and personal standards beyond reproach.

To be successful in this position you will need:

  • To be able to start immediately.
  • Valid AHPRA Registration.
  • Compassionate and understanding towards residents, their families and team members.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team but capable to work independently and in partnership across our wider teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the provision of professional clinical care.
  • High level spoken and written English literacy skills.
  • To be considered for this opportunity you must have the right to live and work in Australia. If you are successful, you will be required to obtain a national police clearance prior to commencement.
