About the Role
We're looking for passionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our growing team at Iris Life Care.
As a Support Worker, you'll provide day-to-day assistance to people with disabilities, helping them build independence, participate in their communities, and live meaningful lives.
This is a flexible casual role, perfect if you're looking to make a real difference while maintaining work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and daily living support
- Assist with household tasks and meal preparation
- Support community participation and social activities
- Encourage skill development and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Work collaboratively with the team to deliver high-quality supports
- Be flexible to assist across various locations and with different participants
What We're Looking For
- Experience in disability support, aged care, or community services (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, patient, and empathetic approach
- Comfortable using basic technology (for reporting and participant support)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability for flexible shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays
Mandatory Requirements (or willingness to obtain):
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Driver's Licence & Vehicle with Comprehensive Car Insurance (preferred)
