At Karan & Co, we're partnering with a leading Tier 1 infrastructure business delivering some of Australia's most significant transport and civil projects.

With major projects underway across road, rail, and renewable energy, they are expanding their precontracts and pursuits function to strengthen their pipeline and client engagement across the East Coast.

We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong understanding of the infrastructure or civil construction sectors; someone who thrives in strategic pursuits, client relationships, and shaping complex bids.

About the Role:

You'll work closely with senior leadership to identify and secure new opportunities across transport, civil and renewable projects.

This role will suit someone who enjoys the front-end of the project lifecycle from engaging with clients, partners, and consultants, and positioning the business for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic pursuits and manage end-to-end bid processes across major infrastructure projects
  • Build strong networks with key government, client and delivery partners
  • Develop and execute pursuit strategies that align with national growth priorities
  • Collaborate with estimating, engineering and delivery teams to prepare compelling tenders and submissions
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify future opportunities

About You:

  • Proven experience in business development, precontracts or pursuits within civil infrastructure or construction
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially astute with a strong understanding of major project delivery models
  • Strategic thinker who enjoys working collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
