About Us

Are you an experienced motor claims professional looking for your next challenge in commercial insurance? We are currently assisting our client in recruiting a Motor Claims Consultan t to join their Sydney-based team.

This position plays a key role in managing commercial motor claims, ensuring efficient resolution, excellent customer service, and compliance with industry standards. You'll be handling a portfolio of approximately 150–200 files, with around 50 new claims per month, primarily focused on commercial motor schemes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage motor claims within delegated authority, including assessment, settlement, and recovery.
  • Liaise with solicitors, loss adjusters, and other experts as needed.
  • Provide internal support to departments such as Finance, Underwriting, and Marketing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies.
  • Support process improvements and participate in system testing.

Your Profile

  • Minimum 3 -5 years' experience in motor claims
  • Strong enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and occasional stress.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Knowledge of insurance contracts and regulatory requirements.
