About the Role

As our Cyber Security Analyst, you will be a key member of the Cyber Security Operations team in the Digital and Information Branch, part of the Corporate Services Group. In this role, you will support the Department's cyber security capability through security monitoring, triaging and escalating cyber events and incidents, and vulnerability management.

You will also contribute to improving cyber incident readiness and awareness, participate in simulation exercises, and collaborate across teams and agencies to help secure systems and information.

This is a critical role in protecting the Department's digital assets and supporting a proactive cyber security posture across the organisation.

We're Looking For

  • Security Operations: Experience in cyber monitoring, incident response, and use of tools like EDR, SIEM, and network traffic analysis platforms
  • Vulnerability Management: Proven capability in identifying, assessing, and managing cyber vulnerabilities
  • Cyber Security Awareness: Ability to deliver training, run simulation exercises, and raise security awareness across diverse audiences
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal skills to work with internal teams, partner agencies, and external vendors
  • Policy & Compliance: Knowledge of relevant cyber frameworks and ability to ensure compliance with policies
  • Communication & Reporting: Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare accurate, timely reports for executive audiences
