Oleochem Project Management Ltd are a recognised global market leader in production chemistry, personnel supply and laboratory training to the upstream production and downstream process industries. We are proud to maintain a longstanding reputation for high calibre, experienced, offshore chemists who manage and operate process laboratories offshore and onshore worldwide.

Oleochem have a vacancy for an experienced Offshore Chemist.

Applicants should hold a degree in a scientific discipline and have direct experience working in the offshore industry. They must have a sound understanding of the production process, including product field trials, chemical compatibilities and process optimisation.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for laboratory operations, routine and non-routine analysis; reviewing and analysing the resulting data.
  • Safe sampling of selected facility process and utility streams.
  • Managing chemical inventory.
  • Application and trialling of production chemicals.
  • Assisting with well testing programs.
  • Providing training for production chemistry related matters.
  • Creating procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and reflective of legal requirements and current practices.
