HARTEC FIRE SYSTEMS PTY LTD, a proudly family-owned business, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fire Alarm / Electrical Technician to join our growing team in Brisbane. We pride ourselves on a supportive team culture and delivering high standards of service across Queensland.

About the Role

As a key member of our technical team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Installation, modification, and servicing of Fire Alarm panels and associated equipment
  • Repairs to fire pump interface equipment, controls, and auxiliary/third-party devices
  • Performing inspections and testing in accordance with AS1851 standards
  • Attending emergency callouts and troubleshooting complex faults
  • Testing and repairing emergency lighting systems
  • Switchboard thermal scanning and RCD testing
  • Minor electrical repairs and installations
  • Preparing inspection and defect reports

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

  • QLD Electrical Mechanics Licence
  • QBCC Licence – highly advantageous

  • Electrical – Install and Maintain Fire Alarm Systems

  • Electrical – Inspect and Test Emergency Lighting
  • 3–5 years' hands-on experience in the field
  • Solid understanding of AS1670, AS1851, AS2293, and AS3760
  • Skilled in conducting audits and inspections under AS1851
  • Competent in using iPhone apps for logging inspections and defects
  • Manual driver's licence (unrestricted)
  • Physically fit – able to lift 15kg frequently
  • Blue Card – advantageous
  • Willing to participate in on-call roster
