Skilled Meat Inspectors

TGMC is a long-established, privately-owned meat processing plant located in rural Northeast Victoria. We are a small dynamic team searching for qualified Meat Inspectors. On offer are permanent roles with certified industry training and a supportive management team in one of the most picturesque areas of Northeast Victoria.

The day starts early leaving the afternoon free to do life, your free to enjoy all public holidays & weekends and you get to spend two weeks of quality time with family & friends over the Christmas / New Year period.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting & performing post-mortem duties on small stock carcasses & carcass parts
  • Production work on process line
  • Maintaining high hygiene standards throughout all processes
  • Follow all OH&S procedures and policies
  • Ability to work with supervisors on improving daily duties

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience within the meat industry
  • Minimum qualification Certificate III Meat Processing (Meat Safety)
  • Highly regarded Certificate IV Meat Processing (Meat Safety) or the willingness to obtain this qualification within 12 months
  • AAO Accreditation or the ability to obtain this accreditation
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of AUS-MEAT Standards

  • Q Fever Vaccination.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High focus and attention to detail.
  • Ability to cope with the physical demands of the job.

Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year, dependant on experience.
