About the Role:

Are you an Intermediate or Senior Structural Engineer looking for a new opportunity to make an impact? This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in our Helensvale, Gold Coast office. We envision that the ideal fit for this role would be someone who's a team player, self-motivated and ready to hit the ground running.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
  • Producing structural mark-ups suitable for issue to clients and for use of the internal drafting team
  • Assisting the project team to produce schematic, preliminary, tender & construction documentation submissions.
  • Conduct design analyses using accepted conventional methods and the Company's software programs
  • Provide technical support to Graduate Structural Engineers and the Structural Drafting team
  • Assist with the company Quality Assurance procedures including technical reviews of project documents
  • Participate in the construction phases of projects including undertaking site inspections, approval of shop drawings, assessment of financial claims and variations and undertaking defect inspections
  • Attend weekly internal resourcing meetings and assist with project planning and resourcing
  • Collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Responding to workshop & construction site queries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • A minimum 5 years of proven Structural Engineer experience
  • You MUST have 3+ years structural engineering experience in Australia (or NZ)
  • Ability to apply structural engineering theory to structural design software packages, including but not limited to RAM Concept, Space Gass, RAPT, Structural Toolkit
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients and team members
