The Contracts Support Officer is responsible to the Senior Contracts Manager for delivering comprehensive support across Contract and Impound operations. This includes providing proactive customer service, acting as a key liaison for issue resolution, maintaining accurate databases and inventory records, and delivering timely business reporting and analysis.
Key responsibilities involve supporting the development, delivery, management, monitoring, and compliance of large-scale asset-related contracts. This includes establishing and tracking key performance indicators and benchmarks, conducting analysis, identifying and reviewing process improvement opportunities, and undertaking assigned projects and tasks that contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Contracts & Impound Unit (CIMU) and SAPOL's broader operations.
The Contracts Support Officer reports to the Manager, Contracts & Impound, and works closely with the ASO6 Senior Contract Officer, ASO3 Contract & Impound Administrator, Impound staff, and other colleagues across the Physical Assets Services Branch.
The role also liaises with the Procurement and Contract Management Services Branch (PCMS) and regularly interacts with police officers, managers, SAPOL staff, external contractors, and members of the public.
The Contracts and Impound Unit, part of SAPOL's Physical Assets Services Branch (PASB), oversees the management of SAPOL's asset-related contracts. It is also responsible for vehicle seizure operations under the Criminal Law (Clamping, Impounding and Forfeiture) Act 2007 and for managing SAPOL's metropolitan and regional impound facilities.
PASB consists of seven units: Capital Projects, Major Projects, Strategic Infrastructure & Assets, Contracts, Impound & Armoury, Fleet & Property Strategic Operations, Facilities Management, and the Business Unit. The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Salary
ASO4 - $76,561 - $80,256 per annum.
