About the RoleIn this role, you will design, develop, and support integration solutions leveraging modern cloud and DevOps technologies. You'll work on key platforms and pipelines, supporting continuous delivery in an Agile/Scrum environment.

The Platform Engineer is a new role within the recently created Integration Centre of Excellence (CoE) reporting to the Integration platforms lead. 

Your Background

  • 6+ years in software development, preferably Java (v17+) and Spring Boot (v3+)
  • 2+ years of AWS cloud experience with strong understanding of provisioning and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Expertise in CI/CD tools (GitLab, SonarQube, New Relic) and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Hands-on experience with API management platforms, event streaming (Kafka), and DevOps toolchains
  • Skilled in scripting (Python, Bash) and modern development practices

Desirable

  • Experience with Confluent Kafka, Amazon EKS, Apigee Edge
  • Familiarity with GitOps, MongoDB, RDS (Postgres)
  • Background in the travel or airline industry
  • Exposure to event-driven architecture
