We are currently seeking a professional and dedicated Barista / All-Rounder to join the founding team of a new Southern Fried Chicken Drive-Thru concept opening in Melbourne [FRANKSTON]

About the Role

As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of coffee and customer service. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and maintains operational excellence during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Specialty Coffee Preparation: Consistently prepare high-quality espresso beverages. You will be responsible for dialing in the grinder, maintaining station cleanliness, and ensuring presentation standards are met.
  • Customer Service & Point of Sale: Efficiently manage customer transactions via the POS system, ensuring accuracy and a welcoming demeanor.
  • Drive-Thru Operations: Manage drive-thru orders using a headset system, prioritizing speed of service and order accuracy.
  • Operational Support: Assist with general front-of-house duties, including stock replenishment, light food preparation, and maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards throughout the venue.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional Barista experience is required. You must be comfortable operating commercial espresso equipment independently.
  • Candidates must be available for a 7-day rotating roster, which includes early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
  • Reliability: Punctuality and a strong work ethic are essential for this role.

Preferred Skills

  • Drive-Thru Experience: Previous experience in a drive-thru environment is highly advantageous.
  • Latte Art: Capability to pour basic latte art is an advantage.
