PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Functional Consultant – Contract - 3 x months +

Our client, a leading consulting firm, is seeking an experienced
PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Functional Consultant
for a contract engagement supporting a higher education environment.

This is a senior-level (L3) functional role requiring strong subject matter expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and the ability to lead clients through full lifecycle implementations and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.x, with hands-on implementation and PUM/Tools upgrade experience.
  • Lead clients through the full systems development lifecycle, including workshops, fit-gap analysis, business process mapping, configuration, and testing.
  • Provide functional expertise across a minimum of 5 Campus Solutions modules (e.g., Campus Community, Recruiting & Admissions, Student Records, Student Financials, Academic Structure, Gradebook, Academic Advisement, Self Service).
  • Design and maintain interfaces with external systems.
  • Support quality assurance by developing test scripts, executing testing, and ensuring compliance with project standards.
  • Gather and document business requirements, writing functional/technical specifications as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide input on best practices, risks, and impacts.

Skills & Experience

  • 6+ years of functional consulting experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
  • At least 1 full lifecycle Campus Solutions implementation/upgrade (3+ preferred).
  • Strong hands-on experience in multiple Campus Solutions modules.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, PS Queries, and Integration Broker monitoring.
  • Experience gathering/documenting business requirements and performing fit-gap analysis.
  • Proven experience in QA and test execution.
  • Desirable: knowledge of other PeopleSoft modules (HCM, Finance, ELM), webservices, or PeopleTools certification.
  • Preference for candidates with higher education/university project experience.
