We are seeking a Design Assistant to join our atelier and work alongside Creative Director Paul Vasileff, helping bring each couture, bridal, and ready-to-wear collection to life. This role is part-time with the potential of full-time.

About the Role

  • Work closely and collaborate with Paul and our atelier team on research, concept development, and design creation across couture, bridal, and ready-to-wear collections.
  • Support embroidery, fabric, and embellishment design liaising with suppliers to develop bespoke materials that elevate every piece.
  • Create mood boards, spec sheets, and technical packs that capture and communicate the creative vision.
  • Partner with production and atelier teams to ensure design integrity from concept to completion.
  • Assist in fittings and product development, ensuring every garment embodies the Paolo Sebastian standard of excellence.
  • Maintain sample archives and the digital fabric library, preserving the threads of our story for future collections.

Who You Are

  • Passionate about couture, craftsmanship, and storytelling through design.
  • Meticulous and imaginative with an eye for detail and a love of beauty.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledgeable in fabric, garment construction, and embroidery techniques.
  • Collaborative, curious, and kind and bring energy to the room.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design (or related field).
  • 1–3 years' experience in a design, product development, or atelier environment.
  • High-level illustration and technical drawing skills.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a commitment to continuous learning.
