We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and professional Medical Receptionist to join our busy bulk-billed family practice in Toongabbie for 3-5 days a week. If you enjoy working in a supportive environment and pride yourself on excellent customer service, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:
  • Flexible position: full-time, part-time, or casual hours available
  • Practice hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and Saturdays, 8:30 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Using Best Practice (BP) software for patient bookings and clinical management
  • Processing Medicare, private, and WorkCover billings, including EFTPOS and HICAPS transactions.
  • Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care
  • Greeting and assisting patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and empathy
Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting and registering patients on arrival
  • Managing phone calls, appointments, and patient enquiries
  • Processing payments and Medicare/HICAPS claims
  • Scanning and filing medical documents accurately
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the waiting area and consultation rooms
  • Supporting doctors with administrative and operational tasks
  • Ensuring patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Requirements:
  • Prior medical reception experience preferred but not essential
  • Experience using Best Practice (BP) or similar clinical software (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy environment
  • Professional presentation and a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Proficiency in email and fax management
