ACR North are seeking a skilled and motivated Quarry Fitter to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys working on heavy machinery and equipment. As a Quarry Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, and repair of crushers and related fix plant equipment.
This position is a night shift role with the standard working week being 48 hours and the opportunity for additional overtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fixed plant equipment such as crushers, vibrating screens, conveyors and feeders
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with crushers and other fixed plant
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure work is completed on time and to high standards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work completed.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while working at various locations.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Fitter or similar mechanical role in a mining, quarry, or heavy equipment environment.
- Strong understanding of crushing operations, machinery maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
- Current Australian Driver's License (MR/HR preferred but not essential).
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current safety qualifications (such as a White Card, working at heights, and confined space tickets) are preferred.
