**Maintenance Fitter - Contract role**

Digga is Australia's leading manufacturer of Machinery attachments for the Earthmoving & Construction industry. A multi-award winning, global company, with 5 state of the art facilities worldwide, our product & passion for providing total customer solutions is second to none.

Due to ongoing growth, we are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance team. Initially this will be a contract role for a period of 6 months however may be extended.

As a Maintenance Fitter you will have a good understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance, assisting with all maintenance work carried out within our Manufacturing facility based in Yatala.

**Responsibilities Include;**
- Liaise with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate maintenance and repair work
- Identifies faults and performs breakdown repairs to minimise machinery downtime
- Assists in the scheduling and monitoring of regular servicing/maintenance work on machinery
- Arranges contractors to carry out maintenance work as required
- Ensuring all backup equipment is serviced and ready for use
- Undertakes and is a key stakeholder of project work within the facility
- Monitors the use and inventories of maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering as required by the Maintenance Manager
- Working with and assisting contractors on site during installations and commissioning of plant equipment where required

**To be considered for this position ideally you will have**:

- Trade Qualified fitter or similar
- Minimum 3 years Maintenance experience
- Understanding of tooling/machine capabilities
- Ability to read drawings; job specifications/instructions
- Current Forklift and Drivers Licence

A background in manufacturing within the earthmoving or similar industry would be highly regarded.
