Do you want to shape the future of cricket in Queensland?
We're looking for a proven leader to step into a critical hands-on executive role driving community cricket participation and infrastructure across the state. This is a rare opportunity to combine strategic impact and execution with on-the-ground influence, building stronger connections with communities, schools, clubs, government, and partners while leading talented teams to deliver meaningful results.
As General Manager - Community Cricket & Infrastructure, you will:
- Lead the growth and sustainability of community cricket across Queensland.
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels from schools and clubs to councils and government bodies.
- Provide strategic direction and commercial oversight for infrastructure development, ensuring the game has the facilities and resources it needs to thrive.
- Inspire, develop, and empower teams, creating an inclusive and high-performance culture.
- Champion diversity, inclusion, and accessibility across cricket programs and initiatives.
- Strengthen connections between metropolitan and regional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across the state.
- Balance strategy with delivery using critical thinking, adaptability, and a solutions-focused mindset to achieve impact.
Your Leadership Impact
We're seeking a leader who is equally comfortable setting strategy as they are building genuine relationships. You'll thrive when navigating complexity, driving change, and making decisions that balance the needs of our people, our communities, and the long-term future of the game.
Key capabilities include:
- Proven leadership with a track record of building collaborative, high-performing teams.
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen, including financial management skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing ability.
- Deep understanding of community sport (ideally cricket) and the Queensland education system.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and deliver outcomes in complex environments.
- A people-first leadership style that is adaptable, inclusive, and values-driven.
We're looking for someone who leads with authenticity and integrity, and who lives their values every day. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Alignment with Queensland Cricket's values: WE Lead, WE Care, WE Deliver, WE Innovate
- The ability to instil a culture that embraces effort, celebrates achievement, and creates opportunities for connection and fun.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in business or a related field (essential).
- Current Senior First Aid & CPR certification.
- Current Blue Card for working with children (Qld).
- 5+ years' leadership experience in community sport or a comparable corporate sector role.
Why Join Us?
At Queensland Cricket, we're driven by more than the game we're driven by growth, inclusion, and community. As General Manager, you'll have the chance to lead change, champion innovation, and create opportunities that make cricket accessible and exciting for all.
