Concrete Cutting Supervisor

For senior operators capable of independently managing allocated jobs from mobilisation through to completion.

Got some miles under your belt, experience on wall saw/wire saw, tilt up panel removal, suspended slab removal and want to apply for on-demand, short-term engagement or work on a project basis, please do so

Supervisors at Chapex are trusted to run their jobs professionally. Support is always available, but we respect your experience and allow you to work without unnecessary oversight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all onsite activities for assigned jobs.
  • Coordinate cranes, riggers, lifting equipment, bins, trucks, and consumables - with support from the office.
  • Lead tasks involving handsaw, ringsaw, floorsaw, core drilling, wallsaw, and wiresaw operations.
  • Manage tilt-up panel penetrations and suspended slab penetrations, other larger projects which fall under the Class 1 requirements.
  • Understand sequencing and timing requirements, including back-propping considerations (planning knowledge only).
  • Ensure quality control, safety documentation, and communication with the office.
  • Support team members on complex works.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years concrete cutting experience.
  • Strong technical skill set across cutting equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and solid understanding of job sequencing.
  • Confident leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professional standards.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience managing teams or projects.
  • White card and relevant trade certification required for this position. Demolition ticket preferred.

Many operators conduct tilt-up panel penetrations or suspended slab works without the required demolition licensing.
