We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to join our team in providing quality support to individuals with disabilities.
Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to make a positive impact in the lives of people with disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to participants, promoting their choice, control, and assisting them in achieving their personal goals.
You will work closely with participants to develop personalized support plans, assist with daily activities, provide emotional support and companionship, and ensure their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
Your Responsibilities
- Assist participants with daily activities, personal care, and medication administration.
- Create a safe and supportive environment that fosters dignity, respect, and comfort.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to participants and their families.
- Conduct sleepover shifts and day shifts as scheduled to ensure continuous care.
- Evaluate participants' needs and adapt support plans accordingly.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in support work or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident and friendly attitude.
- Ability to communicate sensitively and appropriately.
- Understanding of safe work practices.
- Previous employment experience in the health/disability care sector.
- Ability to work independently and accurately report back to supervisors.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
