An exciting opportunity exists for a Principal to join the team at Dundula State School on a permanent basis.

We are seeking an innovative and passionate Principal to join our school community. The successful applicant will be committed to developing the quality of teaching and learning, improving the educational outcomes of all students and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, community and stakeholders.

This role is advertised under clause 8.16 of the Recruitment and Selection Directive 07/23.

About the School

Dundula State School is ideally situated approximately three kilometres from Mackay City Gates surrounded by cane fields in a semi-rural environment. Our school offers multi-aged classes with a comprehensive school curriculum covering all the key learning areas with a major focus on literacy and numeracy.

About the Role

As the Principal, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Drive a shared vision that achieves strong student outcomes.
  • Provide ethical, strategic leadership across the school.
  • Embed inclusive, socially just practices.
  • Set and maintain high standards for students and staff.
  • Build partnerships with parents, agencies, and the community.
  • Lead professional growth and oversee school operations.
