About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
HV Electrical Estimator
to join our team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing
accurate, competitive, and timely estimates
for
high-voltage construction projects
across Queensland. You'll play a key role in supporting Asset Power Solutions' continued success by delivering
cost-effective solutions
, maintaining
strong client relationships
, and ensuring
seamless handovers
to our project delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyse
engineering drawings
, project specifications, and tender documentation. - Prepare detailed
cost estimates
for HV construction projects, including materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor costs. - Issue and manage
RFQs
, negotiate with suppliers, and identify
cost-saving opportunities
. - Attend
site inspections
and pre-tender meetings to assess project scope and risk. - Prepare and submit
tender documentation and proposals
within required deadlines and company standards. - Maintain and update
unit pricing databases and estimating tools
. - Collaborate closely with
Operations and Clients
to clarify scope and deliver complete project handovers.
You'll Bring
- Proven experience as an
Electrical Estimator
, ideally within
LV
or
HV - construction project environments
. - Strong understanding of
electrical systems, drawings, and specifications
. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in
estimating and CRM software
(e.g., Simpro) preferred. - A proactive, solutions-focused attitude and a commitment to quality and accuracy.
