Estimating Manager

Tradetech Services Aus is a civil construction company delivering quality projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria. We're seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead our estimating and tendering team, driving accuracy, competitiveness, and consistency across all bids and project costings.

In this key leadership role, you'll manage the full tender lifecycle — from initial review to submission — and provide strategic insights that help secure successful outcomes for the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the preparation of accurate estimates, tenders, and cost plans for civil and infrastructure projects

• Manage and mentor a team of estimators, fostering technical excellence and collaboration

• Review project scopes, specifications, and drawings to identify risks and opportunities

• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to develop competitive pricing strategies

• Support business development by contributing to bid submissions and tender presentations

• Implement and refine estimating systems, templates, and best practices

• Assist with building the estimation platform, supply chain and implementation process.

• Great people management skills, work collaboration to get the best from your team members

• Play a strong role in negotiating / cooperating with stakeholders such as suppliers, clients, senior TSA staff. Be a leader

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

• Strong experience in estimating within the civil construction industry

• Proven leadership experience managing estimating or tendering teams

• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail

• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g. Expert Estimation, Cubit, or similar)

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
