School Administration Assistant

Wollemi College currently has an exciting part time opportunity for a qualified Administration Assistant to assist with the day-to-day administration of the school. This role will perform a variety of administrative and support tasks including reception, recording student attendance, responding to parents, staff and student queries, preparing correspondence, and ad-hoc tasks as requested.

The successful incumbent will work within a collaborative and close-knit team, supporting Wollemi's Primary and Secondary Schools.

This is a part-time role working 10.00am – 2:00pm over 3 set days per week, during school term time (38 weeks) and commences in Term 1, 2026.

To be successful in this role, you will need to confidently demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

• Demonstrable and recent experience working in a busy administrative function (preferably within a school environment).
• Strong PC literacy, particularly with MS Office, G-Suite, Adobe, and ideally school-based applications.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation skills – as the first point of contact for visitors to the school, a professional and friendly manner is imperative
• Ability to work collaboratively with fellow team members
• Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, students, parents and the wider school community.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
• Ability to handle confidential data in a professional manner
• Understanding of, and support for the Vision, Mission, Values and ethos of the school

Remuneration is in accordance with the Independent Schools (Professional and Operational Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 and salary is pro-rated according to the part time load and total weeks worked each calendar year.
