About the role

Smithfield Village Early Learning Centre is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our dedicated team in Trinity Park, QLD. This part-time role is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and nurturing educator to contribute to the growth and development of our young learners.

What you'll be doing

  • Planning and delivering high-quality, play-based educational programs to children aged 3-5 years
  • Implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) to foster children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
  • Observing and documenting children's progress, and using this information to inform future lesson plans
  • Collaborating with families to support each child's individual learning and wellbeing
  • Maintaining a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the centre's policies and practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification
  • Registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers (or eligible for registration)
  • Demonstrated experience working with children aged 3-5 years in an early childhood setting
  • Strong knowledge of the EYLF and ability to plan and implement play-based learning programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and the team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a collaborative approach to teaching
