We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This role is based in Brisbane's CBD and offers the flexibility of a hybrid working environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the finance team across compliance, reporting and payroll. You'll be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment where your contribution will directly support the smooth running of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly and fortnightly payroll, including superannuation reconciliation and payment.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and assist in management reporting.
  • Prepare costing reports and variance analysis.
  • Assist with BAS, IAS, payroll tax, workers compensation and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support budgeting, cashflow management, and financial analysis.
  • Assist with the audit program.
About You
  • 3–5 years' experience in accounting roles, with strong knowledge of payroll, reconciliations, and compliance.
  • Advanced Excel and solid Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a team.
