About the role

As a Senior Accountant, you will play a central role in delivering outstanding client service and mentoring the next generation of accountants. Multiple positions are available, and we'll match you to the team and projects that align with your goals and experience.

You will work closely with your Manager and Director to build the experience, exposure, and knowledge needed to progress your career. Our dedicated Training Manager will guide and support you, ensuring you get the best possible start at Byfields.

This role is perfect for an experienced accountant ready to lead, mentor, and make a real impact. You'll be at the forefront of tax compliance, financial reporting, and advisory work, while growing your leadership and technical expertise.

You can expect to:

• Take ownership of managing complex tax compliance, financial statements, and advisory projects that showcase your expertise
• Lead and mentor junior staff, helping them develop their skills while inspiring a collaborative team culture
• Work autonomously while meeting deadlines, and take pride in delivering exceptional outcomes
• Partner with experienced professionals to expand your insights in tax planning, and advisory

What we're looking for

Our ideal candidate will have:

• Strong experience in tax compliance
• Prior public practice experience (essential)
• CPA/CA qualified or actively working towards
• Proven time management and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Keen interest or background in agriculture (highly regarded)
• Commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation
• Experience in / desire to develop skills in specialist/advisory areas
