Tenure Management Officer – Mining Project

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Tenure Management Officer to support tenure compliance and land management for a major mining industry project in Brisbane. This role will ensure all tenures are effectively managed and maintained in line with legislative and project requirements.

About the Role

As the Tenure Management Officer, you will:

  • Administer mining and exploration tenures, licences, and permits.
  • Monitor tenure compliance with state legislation, conditions, and reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate and prepare tenure applications, renewals, variations, and surrenders.
  • Maintain accurate tenure registers and ensure data integrity.
  • Support stakeholder engagement requirements with regulators, landholders, indigenous and community representatives regarding tenure matters.
  • Provide advice and reporting to project managers and senior leaders on tenure status, risks, and obligations.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience in tenure management, land administration, or related fields within the mining/resources sector.
  • Knowledge of QLD mining tenure, compliance, and Indigenous land access requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in tenure management systems and MS Office Suite.
