About the role

Lamont's is seeking an experienced Butcher to join our team in Hampton, Victoria. As a full-time Butcher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality meat products and exceptional customer service in our thriving local butcher shop. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our well-established business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Expertly cutting, preparing and presenting a diverse range of meat products to meet customer orders and preferences
  2. Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service, offering advice and recommendations to help customers find the perfect cuts
  3. Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
  4. Assisting with inventory management, stock rotation and replenishment
  5. Collaborating with the team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the butcher shop

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualifications in butchery or a related trade, with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience
  2. Exceptional knife skills and the ability to expertly break down, cut and prepare a wide variety of meat products
  3. Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide friendly, knowledgeable and helpful assistance
  4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  5. A team player with the flexibility to adapt to the needs of a busy retail environment
