About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, creative, and proactive Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our dedicated team at Huntingdon Gardens located in Bexley on a casual basis.

In this role, you will help design and deliver engaging leisure, lifestyle, and wellness activities that enrich the lives of our residents. Working closely with residents, their families, and the care team, you'll help foster a sense of belonging, purpose, and joy within our community.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

· Foster strong relationship with residents based on the resident's life story, preference and habit.

· Implement structured lifestyle programs and adapt to individual interest and abilities for both group activities and/or 1 on 1 activities

· Assist residents with lifestyle experiences, including, but not limited to, dining experience

· Involved and make contribution towards residents' care planning and assessment within scope of work

· Report any identified changes in residents' health and wellbeing to the authorised person

· Contribute and suggest activities to the Lifestyle Coordinator including, but not limited to, cultural and religious events.

· Assist in preparing and organising documentation and evidence for accreditation audits within lifestyle scope of work

· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and policies to ensure the safe environment for all residents

What We're Looking For:

  • Certificate or Diploma in Aged Care or Leisure and Health, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate elderly.
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and passion for improving the lives of older people.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing resident needs.
  • Physically able to participate in and assist with resident activities.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within aged care or community services (highly regarded)
