Job DescriptionOur Outside School Hours Care service, Eumundi State School Helping Hands, is looking for a passionate Assistant Coordinator to assist with managing the service and providing engaging programs for our primary-age children.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity offering 25 hours per week (guaranteed minimum). You'll work Monday to Friday in split shifts across our programs:
Rise then Shine Program – Morning shifts (6:50am – 8:50am)
Stay and Play Program – Afternoon shifts (2:50pm – 6:00pm)
Holiday HQ Program – Extra hours available during school holidays (6:50am – 6:00pm)
About the role
You will manage a service at a primary school in the hours before and after school for children aged 5-12 years, with the support of a state specific office, plus regional managers who regularly visit and mentor you at your service.
- Develop and facilitate an engaging child-centered program full of exciting experiences such as STEM, sport, cooking, art and craft - whatever you and the children are into
- Foster healthy relationships with children, the school, community, and parents
- Lead a team of Educators onsite, including roster management
- Manage the day-to-day operations of your service including compliance and administration

Who are we looking for?
We can teach you about the job and sector, but a few basics you need to have:
Enjoy working with kids
Strong and clear communication
Team player with a desire to become a service leader
Hold or willing to obtain a national police check (we'll pay for it) and a state check for working with children
Obtained or studying towards a relevant qualification to work with kids in OSHC per ACECQA
Australian work rights
