Lilypad Early Learning Centre, located in the heart of Ryde is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate fulltime trainee to join our team. This traineeship offers the opportunity to earn a Certificate III in Children's Services whilst also gaining valuable on-the-job experience.

This position includes generous study time along with guidance from experienced early childhood teachers. The successful candidate will work as a valued member of our team, providing care and education to children aged from 0 to 12 years old.

Shift duties include:

  • helping with daily activities
  • engaging with and supporting children in an inclusive setting
  • creating inviting environmental set-ups
  • supporting mealtimes, sleep and rest times
  • participating in excursions
  • contributing to the organisation and delivery of special events.

Skills and expectations of a successful candidate include:

  • Contributing to the monitoring and maintenance of a safe and hygienic environment with the team
  • Engaging in daily cleaning and hygiene practices to uphold clean and enjoyable indoor and outdoor areas for all children
  • Contributing to play and learning activities, including reading stories, sporting games, music and dance, craft and dramatic play activities
  • Ability to use online platforms to share information with families and complete coursework
  • Supporting children's diverse needs in a respectful and equitable way
  • Adhering to centre policies and procedures
  • Participating in professional development and centre meetings.

There are no specific educational requirements for this position. However, all applicants must have the right to work full-time in Australia for 18 months, without impeding visa restrictions.
